What constitutes a valid third-party verifier?

Learn the criteria for a third-party to verify your Proof Point

A third-party verifier is anyone who is independent and not part of your business or your supply chain. If they are tied to your day-to-day business then we do not consider them to be independent. Verifiers should have expertise in the relevant field.

We identify these organisations as acceptable third-party verifiers: accredited auditors, an independent lab, assurance providers, governmental bodies, NGOs and supranational organisations.

Please note that for a Proof Point to be verified, we need to disclose the verifier. The role of a verifier is to confirm the validity of a given Proof Point. Provenance can never be the verifier which is why we require the verifier to be named; as otherwise, Provenance would essentially be assuming the role of the verifier.
