A third party can verify your sustainability achievements with Provenance. Read on to learn how we do this...
Verified Proof Points have a green tick to reflect the increased credibility of an independently validated claim. Shoppers on your product page can click on the Proof Point trust badge to find out what the Proof Point means and how you have achieved impact.
Certification claims will automatically be verified by the certifying body by our review process. To make a claim for a product or business-level certification, log in to your Provenance account.
Evidenced-based claims can also be verified, this requires our team to check your documents with an appropriate third-party stakeholder. To do this, please put us in touch with a relevant third party via our community@provenance.org inbox with the documents and Proof Point you would like us to verify with a third party.
To find out which third-party stakeholder Provenance needs to verify information with, go to the relevant Proof Point in the Provenance Framework and scroll to the 'Who can verify this Proof Point?' section.
"What if I don't want my documents to go public?"
The green tick that appears with a verified Proof Point trust badge informs your shoppers that an independent third party has verified the sustainability initiative. As such, your evidence does not need to go public within a verified Proof Point trust badge.
To let our review team know that your business would prefer particular documents to not be published, please let our team know at community@provenance.org.
